Overlooking the beach betweenAl Waha
and Al Bandar, this restaurant is an ideal
venue to enjoy the viewwhilst sampling
a range of fresh seafood dishes. We dined
on themost delicious items with favour-
ite fishes. Wewaddled out, but every
mouthful was incredible.
I found it a little hard towake up early in themorning after the full night that we had had, but I summoned all of my strengthwhen
I heard the little alarmclock goes off. After I got prepared for the day, I went in to the lobby tomeet rest of the teammembers. Once
everyone had gathered in the lobby, we all got into the van and proceeded to the city’smost popular places, such as GrandMosque,
Bait al Zubair Museum, andMattrah Souq. The day endedwith an amazing two hours sunset cruisewithOcean Blue. Everything is
over and it was time to pack and check out —much tomy and rest of teammembers’ chagrin. Wewere back in Doha beforemidnight
and totally relaxed thanks to a serene getaway. I can’t wait to return soon — it was a perfect tropical retreat at Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah

The beaches and facilities are for the private use of our guests,
while Al Husn private beach is a secluded beach for the exclusive

The resort has three expansive, cooled swimming pools, open
from6am to 8pmeach day: Al Waha, Al Bandar, and a private pool
for guests of Al HusnHotel.
Inspired by the centuries-old falaj system that brought freshwater
to remote Omani villages, the Lazy River winds for a delightful
half-kilometre betweenAl Bandar and Al Waha hotels.
The guests use the river as a relaxingway of ‘commuting’ around
the resort by simply floating along in theman-made current from
pool to pool.
The resort has sevenmain restaurants, two all-day dining outlets,
three pool bars and a beach bar, three lobby lounges, three cafés
and three bars. All 22 food and beverage outlets are located in
the three hotels and the Al Mazaar Souk. The array of fine dining
and all-day dining outlets, as well as live cooking stations, ensure
something delicious for each and every guest. We had a chance to
experience a fewof themduring our stay.
